East West Coaches currently operates through the Lewis pass 3 days a week (Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday).
We depart Westport in the morning and you will experience the mighty Buller George with stunning native forest views as you travel alongside the Buller River.
We then pass through Inangahua junction, turn off with the next stop being the historic mining town of Reefton.
Our shuttle then heads through the Rahu saddle where you will be treated to more views of spectacular native forest with our next destination being Springs Junction, where we stop for a short refreshment break.
Once we depart Springs Junction our next pickup point is Maruia Hot Springs thermal resort. We then carry on over the Lewis Pass summit until we reach the St. James walkway starting point.
This is where trampers can make their way to and from the Saint Arnaud tramp or head across the valleys to the Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre to be picked up.
After passing through the last of the native Beech forests we then head towards Hanmer Spring's Junction turn off (for those wishing to get to and from Hanmer Springs).
Our next destination for the shuttle is Culverden, where we have an optional short comfort stop.
We then travel onto Waikari and Waipara where we pass the iconic Frog Rock. Moving on to our next destination's being Amberley, Waikuku and Woodend.
Before reaching Christchurch we travel past Pine Acre's bus stop (for anyone wishing to go to or from Kaiapoi this is our closest stop).
From there its to Christchurch Airport if required, with our last stop in the city centre. We return to the West Coast in the afternoon.
